Business and ICT students from Harrow College have enjoyed an end of term social trip to Paris. The young learners spent 4 days in the French capital to mark the end of the spring term and the start of the summer term. During the visit, students enjoyed the many sights that have made Paris one of the leading tourist destinations in Europe.
Their adventures started with a ferry trip across the Channel with Disneyland Paris the destination. After checking in to the Disneyland Paris Hotel village, the group enjoyed dinner before heading back to their rooms after a tiring day.
The next two days were spent at the Disneyland and Studio Park where the students (and staff) enjoyed the Disney parade, park rides, meeting Disney characters and lots of shopping.
On the final day, the group travelled into central Paris to soak in the Parisian atmosphere. They visited the Fragonard perfume factory and learnt about how perfumes are made as well as being given a tour of the shop and perfume museum. This was followed by a metro ride to Trocadero and a fantastic viewpoint of the Eiffel Tower. After spending some time at the gardens and fountains below the Tower, the group travelled to the Notre Dame Cathedral and finally some souvenir shopping in the Latin Quarter area along the River Seine.
Sultan Soukani, Senior Curriculum Manager for ICT & Business said “We aim to give our students opportunities both inside and outside of the classroom. Visiting a major European city and experiencing a new culture has been very beneficial and the students have thoroughly embraced and enjoyed the occasion. We now look forward to the new term and a successful end to the academic year”.
