The Careers Team provides comprehensive advice about progression routes and choices for future education, training and employment opportunities.
For current and potential students we offer:
- Interviews with a qualified careers advisor.
- Information and advice about courses and apprenticeships.
- Specialist careers advice for people in or leaving care, or who have an Education Health Care Plan.
- A drop-in advice service.
- Help with CV writing, job-searching and applying.
- Information and advice about progression to the next course with us or elsewhere.
- Help with university applications, events and visits.
- Access to the student portal (for current students) with up to date resources for progression information.
For Parents
- Opportunities for parents to see college facilities and talk to staff.
- The opportunity to meet a qualified careers adviser.
- Discussion with specialist staff about the specific needs of people with Education Health Care Plans.
- Advice on financial support including free meals, bursaries and travel cards.
HRUC's student services are matrix accredited.

Harrow Weald Campus: 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday, Tuesday & Thursday.
Working with universities, employers and training providers
At Harrow College, students are invited to participate in a number of events designed to build employability skills and explore options in Education and Employment. There will also be opportunities for you to interact with universities and professionals to help you with your future plans.
Preparing for the world of work
Supporting you to identify and develop your Employability Skills is central to the student experience at Harrow College. This is achieved through the curriculum, a range of additional enterprise activities and expert advice from employers on CVs and interview skills. Advice and support is available from professional College Careers Advisors for students wanting to develop a CV, complete an application form or practise interview skills.
University applications
At Harrow College we provide guidance and support throughout the university application process. This includes help with researching and choosing suitable courses and universities, completing the application form, personal statement writing and preparing for an interview. We are proud to say that in 2022, 87% of applicants from Harrow College were successful in securing a place on a higher education course at university.
