A new student incentive aimed at encouraging maximum student attendance during the college term has proved very popular. The ‘100 Club’ programme, launched at the beginning of the summer term, offers students the chance of winning £100 worth of rewards per month in return for 100% attendance. Those who achieve the attendance milestone are entered into a draw to win the top prize.
The fun initiative follows a number of similar schemes which aim to highlight the importance of high attendance at college. By promoting initiatives in this way, the College aim to not only raise awareness of something very important, but also reward those who put in the extra effort to attend college every day.
578 students achieved 100% attendance in November and 719 students achieved the same in December, all of whom were entered into a draw to win the top prize. The lucky winners, drawn at random for November, were Nirusha Manirangan (left photo), aged 18. December’s prize was awarded to Mahdi Bouchelaala, aged 16 (main photo above)). January’s winner is yet to be announced. The monthly incentive scheme will run until late June 2017 with winners being celebrated each month on the college student online portal.
Speaking about the success of the programme, Harrow College Vice-Principal Dylan McTaggart said:
“Attendance is a key priority for Harrow College students to achieve their very best. Students are re-entered into the 100 club monthly and so can still achieve the mighty 100% target if they haven't quite made it in the previous month. We continue to celebrate students who show true dedication to completing their programmes of study and support the college in maintaining high student attendance”.
