Learning Links students have taken part in a Cricket Engagement Day at Lords Cricket Ground - the home of Cricket in the UK.
They sat in the members enclosure to watch a ladies match between Marylebone Maidens and Lords Ladies. They also got the chance to play a game in the indoor practice pitch where they received expert coaching from MCC coaches.
The student group had their photo taken (above) in the Memorial Gardens in front of the 2017 Ladies World Cup that the England Ladies won in a nail biting final last year.
Debbie Cusack, Lecturer for Foundation and Supported Learning at Harrow College said:
"For several years our students have been having weekly cricket coaching sessions with coaches from Middlesex Country Cricket, at Harrow Leisure Centre, through our partnership with the Lords Taverners Disability Cricket Association. During these sessions the students learn bowling, fielding, batting and teamwork skills. Staff have remarked how the students improve their hand to eye coordination skills as well as all the essential skills needed to play a game of cricket, and it improves their understanding of the game when being spectators".
