Art students at Harrow College have showcased their work at a special end of year show event.

The event at Harrow College, organised by the art and media department, took place this week at the College's Weald Campus. The local community were invited to see some of the creative pieces of work students had produced during the academic year.

Local partners, industry and freelance professionals as well as students with their proud parents were in attendance as final year students on BTEC and A-Level courses showcased a whole host of artistic genres including Fine Art, Graphic Design, Illustration, Fashion and Textiles, 3D Design and Architecture, Ceramics, Photography, Video productions and Animation. Guests enjoyed a glass of wine and refreshments as they spoke with the student artists, mingled with one another and really embraced the creative evening.

Owen Price, Curriculum Manager for Arts and Media at Harrow College said "the standard of work produced by our final year students has once again been very high. The evening went really well and gave our students a great opportunity to show their work to a wider audience who were very impressed by what they saw. We expect a number of our students to pursue their art and design education at university with many having already secured art and design related work for the summer period".

Elena Petrea, a current student studying Foundation Art & Design said "It was a very successful evening. I saw a lot of proud parents and students. There were a lot of people attending which made it an exciting opportunity to showcase my work to friends and family. I am very proud of everything I have achieved."
