Higher Education and Counselling graduates from Harrow College have celebrated their achievements during a special graduation ceremony (on 15 September 2017).
The proud students donned gowns and hats as they returned to the college where they successfully completed a variety HNC and HND level courses in Business, Computing & Systems Development, Applied Chemistry and Health & Social Care as well as Counselling courses.
Taking place in Harrow College's award nominated Enterprise Centre, the graduates took their seats with close family and friends sitting close by with cameras at the ready. Dylan McTaggart, Harrow College Vice-Principal, opened proceeding and spoke about how proud he was to see the room full of students who had each shown dedication and commitment in reaching their goals.
Certificates were awarded by curriculum staff giving graduates another chance to catch up with their course tutors. There were plenty of opportunities to take photographs, including the customary throwing of graduation hats high into the air, as people enjoyed some food and drink after the ceremony and reflected on their time at the college. Many will now progress onto the next level of education or into employment.
Former student, distinction level Law graduate and aspiring Barrister Stefan Sutherland returned as a guest speaker. Stefan took to the stage and spoke about some of his own education and career experiences. During his motivating talk, Stefan spoke about the importance of staying focussed, networking, having passion and not living with any academic regrets.
