On Monday 21st January 2019, Level 3 Year 2 Business students from Harrow College were selected to take part in a focus group for a new development in Harrow town centre.
They were joined by architect Emily Temperton from CarverHaggard who are designing a new public space for Harrow Council and wanted ideas from the Business students around what facilities and business opportunities could be suitable for the new space.
The Business students looked over the plans and designs and also visited the site proposed for the new development.
In three weeks' time, these students will invite the architects from CarverHaggard, along with representatives from Harrow Council, back to Harrow College to present some of their own business ideas which they think could also beneift the new space. They will do this using knowledge and skills developed from one of their current Level 3 Diploma in Business units titled 'Starting a Small Business' which teaches the students how to write a professional business plan.
