Learners at Harrow College have been celebrating after receiving their GCSE results.
GCSE achievement has increased to 96% across the subjects offered at Harrow College, which include English, Maths and Science.
Many of the anxious students who arrived at the FE colleges Weald Campus this morning were left with smiles on their faces after opening their result envelopes.
One of those students was Nikita Patel who achieved a grade B in her English Language exam. She commented "I'm really happy because I've actually done better than I expected. The atmosphere at the college has been great over the past year and the staff have been really supportive. I'm so glad I've passed".
Delighted student Egzen Avdiu took GCSE exams in Physics, Maths, English and Chemistry and successfully achieved the pass grades A-C that he required. Reflecting on his GCSE experience, he said "The revision has paid off. The teachers also pushed me which was a great help. I can now look forward to studying A-Levels in Chemistry and Biology next year at Harrow College".
Sakariya Ahmed was both relieved and proud after passing each of his subjects as part of his GCSE retake package. He said "my main aim was to improve on the grade C I achieved in Maths last year. I have now got a grade B in Maths which will allow me to study A-Levels in Maths, Economics and Business Studies next year".

"We are pleased to see another year of improved grades for our students undertaking GCSEs and hope to see many of them progressing onto higher level courses within Harrow College."
