Students from Harrow College are looking forward to university after receiving their A-Level results today.
The FE college is celebrating year on year improvement recording a 96% A-Level achievement overall, with 57% of students achieving A-C grades. The college has also seen 100% pass rates in many A-Level subjects including History, Business, Government and Politics, ICT, Media Studies, Film Studies and Art and Design.
Delighted student Abdussamad Rashid took A-Levels in Physics, Chemistry and Maths and gained three A grades to secure his place at Bath University. Reflecting on his A-level experience he said "My hard work has paid off and that's greatly down to the staff and resources at Harrow College which have been brilliant. I'm so pleased and look forward to going to university".
Olivia Kajzer was "over the moon" with her A-Level results. She achieved grade A in History, B in Photography and B in Media Studies. She said "my teachers have been really supportive and with their help, I have been accepted into my first choice university which is Queen Mary's to study History".
The hard work and commitment from Ciprian Burlibasa means he now has his sights set on a Maths degree at City University after gaining the B, C and C grades he needed in his Maths, Biology and Chemistry A-Levels subjects. He said "I started my education at entry level and it seemed like a long road but it was well worth it as I have now got my place at university".
BTEC students we also in buoyant mood following their results today. Performing Arts student Romario Williams was lost for words when opening his results envelope to see that he had scored a triple distinction. The excited student commented "I feel great, excited and inspired having realised my potential and now know I can achieve my goals. I'm looking forward to life at Royal Holloway University to study Drama and Theatre studies".

"Congratulations to our A Level and BTEC students who have today received clarification of their final grades. We are pleased that our AS and A2 results have again increased, along with the number of students achieving A-C grades in their subjects. We wish our students success in the future as they progress into their chosen universities and career plans".
