A workshop approach is adopted with students of varying abilities working on projects which progresses their technical competence and creative sensibilities. Individual and small group support will be a feature of this course.

Although equipment, tools and materials are provided by the college students will usually have some of their own tools. Advice will be given on inexpensive tools if students wish to buy their own. Students may also wish to bring their own apron.
