Entry requirements
3 x GCSEs grade 3 (grade D) or above preferably including both English & maths or a relevant Level 1 qualification. Candidates require an enhanced DBS check.

Who is the course for?
This course is for 16 – 18 years old students. It provides a broad education as a basis for further training and moving into employment within the Health and Social Care sector. Students will develop general skills, knowledge and understanding of key topics in Health and Social Care.

Study methods
This is a full time course comprising of 4 days in college and 1 day in work placement.

How is the course assessed?
This course is assessed both internally and externally (2 units). Units assessed internally include a mixture of written assessments, recording/observations of practical work and placements.

Employment in a relevant Health and Social Care setting or work within the community.

Level 3 vocational qualifications such as BTEC Subsidiary or BTEC Extended Diplomas in Health and Social Care or a similar Childcare/Early Years courses.
