There are 4 mandatory units which include:
- Being Organised
- Developing a Personal Progression Plan
- Working with Others
- Researching a Topic.
There are a further 6 units which may include the following: - Finding Out About Health and Social Care Services
- Communication Skills for Health and Social Care
- Making Healthy Snacks when Caring for People
- Providing a Creative Activity when Caring for People
- Advising Others About Healthy Lifestyles
*Visiting a Health and Social Care Setting.

Entry requirements
You should have an interest in the subject area you are applying for. There are no formal entry requirements but we will assess your level of English and Maths to make sure you are working at Entry Level 3 or above. This is to ensure you are able to meet the course requirements.

Who is the course for?
This course has been designed to provide a broad education in health and social care as a basis for further training, further and higher education or for moving into employment. Students can develop the general skills, knowledge and understanding that underpins a range of occupations or professions.

Assessment is 100% internal assessment. You will undertake tasks in your lessons and some homework to help build your self-confidence.

Progression on successful completion of the course includes Level 2 Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care. Alternatively, we have other progression routes which will be discussed with individual students depending on your needs.
