The course is for students aged 16-24 with high needs, students with special educational needs and disabilities. It is designed to further develop and build on essential skills for living, employment and community.
The curriculum is carefully designed to meet each student's specific needs and goals, focusing on key communication and life skills to boost decision-making and job readiness.
It aligns with learners' EHCP outcomes and assessments, supported by a nurturing college environment, to ensure a smooth transition into adulthood.

There is no requirement for learners to have undertaken prior qualifications.

Who is the course for?
The course is suitable for learners, including those with learning difficulties and/or disabilities or with Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND), who will benefit from a course that develops skills, attitudes and behaviours valuable in an employment context, through taking part in enterprise activity.

Study methods
Courses are delivered within the Foundation Learning Area in small group sizes that range from 6 to 8 and include embedded Maths and English, Personal And Social Development, Social and Communication Skills and a programme of Enrichment activities.

How is the course assessed?
Learners must complete 6 credits:
- Following Instructions
- Working with Customers
- Contribute to Running an Enterprise Activity.
The objective of this qualification is to support learners to develop the skills, knowledge, attitudes and behaviours central to enterprise.

Where Next – Further Studies
Progression will be explored at the yearly annual review. Learners may move on to Entry 1 Certificate or Adult Social Care provision, dependent on personal development and ability.
