DFN Project SEARCH Open Event
Join us at the DFN Project SEARCH Open Event where prospective students can find out more about the supported internship programme.
Harrow College (part of HRUC), in partnership with Northwick Park Hospital and the national charity DFN Project SEARCH, is dedicated to providing young people with learning disabilities and/or autism with vital work-based learning opportunities.
This collaborative programme also involves Kaleidoscope, London Borough of Harrow, and the West London Alliance, all working together to help these individuals secure competitive employment and ensure they are empowered to reach their true and full potential. It is essential that each individual has an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP).
The innovative programme is based at Northwick Park Hospital and blends classroom instruction, career exploration, and hands-on skills training.
Following an NHS induction, interns complete three placements across different departments providing them with the opportunity to try different job roles and to build up a range of transferrable skills in readiness for paid employment.
Join us for our open event at our Harrow Weald campus to learn more about this programme.
