The course consists of a variety of units that cover various aspects of sport, fitness and physical activity with a particular focus on fitness and gym based practice.
This course offers students the opportunity to gain industry-recognised qualifications through CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) accreditation. These qualifications include the Level 2 Gym Instructor Certification and the Level 3 Personal Trainer Certification.
By completing these qualifications, students not only gain essential theoretical and practical knowledge in areas such as anatomy, physiology, fitness testing, and training methods, but also develop the skills required to work as qualified fitness professionals.
The CIMSPA accreditation ensures that the qualifications meet industry standards, providing students with the credibility and expertise needed to pursue careers as gym instructors, personal trainers, fitness coaches, or sports therapists. This industry recognition also enhances employability prospects, as employers recognise the value of CIMSPA-accredited qualifications in ensuring that employees have the necessary skills to deliver high-quality fitness services.
This BTEC course not only provides students with the foundational knowledge of sport and fitness but also facilitates their progression into professional roles upon successful completion.
