The core content will cover:
Business context, Culture, Data, Digital analysis, Digital environments, Diversity and inclusion, Learning, Legislation, Planning, Security, Testing and Tools.
Occupational Specialism Outcomes (Data technician):

Entry requirements
The T level is available for students aged 16-18 (on the 1st September 2021) or if you have an ECHP be aged 16-22. We are looking for students with at least 5 GCSEs including English and Maths and an interest in working within the Digital field, especially within a data analysis. No specific technical skills are required.

Who is the course for?
Students who have completed GCSE’s and are looking for the next step specialising in IT and Business. This course prepares students for work within a business in their IT department by teaching practical and theoretical skills throughout the two years of the course. At the end, students will complete a 315-hour industry placement within a IT department and be able to apply their academic skills to a real world setting.

Study methods
Students will prepare for core exams and projects in their first year and cover core digital and business principle. The second year will be more practical and apply this knowledge in the classroom and in the work place.

How is the course assessed?
The course will be marked throughout both years through a mixture of exams, projects and assignments.
At the end of the first year there will then be two exams, testing the students’ knowledge and learning. - More information

You can start working as a data technician, and some students are expected to gain employment from their placements. Others may start a degree (the T-Level is worth up to 168 UCAS points - but please check with your chosen University that they accept the T Level)) or an apprenticeship.
